Eduction is crucial in today’s economy. Landing a particular job that provides a steady amount of income most likely will require some type of college degree. After graduating high school, a diploma is given to the student upon completion of the courses assigned by the state, but no college degree. High school is the stepping stone to attending college. In order to advance in careers, students must successfully complete both high school and college. College is an educational institution where a student attends to pursue a degree for a specific job. Once a student completes their years at college, they are given the degree the student studied for. Although high school and college help further a students’ life in terms of education, they are different because of scheduling, cost, and responsibilities. A high school year is finished after about 36 weeks, whereas a college academic year is typically divided into two 16 week semesters. During the high school 36 week period, students are required to attend a Monday through Friday schedule, and each day goes for around 8 hours. In college, students make their own schedule on choosing what days and times they want to attend class. Students are older during college years, so they have more going on in their lives like having jobs, which makes the flexibility part of college easier for students, as far as going to class.
